paper artist of the week: jorge ayala

i recently posted images of a beautiful
architectural model by jorge ayala.
soon after, i received a kind note of appreciation
and an invitation to be the first to publish images
of his newest project, and i am so very pleased to do so here!

jorge ayala is an architect with a masters degree
in landscape urbanism from london's prestigious

this
project, physical changing model
maps the territories of the gulf of mexico and
proposes a spatial organization, represented here as an
art installation of thinly cut and layered cardboard.

stunning, isn't it
?! i adore when art and science come together so
beautifully well, and look forward to learning and sharing more about
the emerging discipline of landscape urbanism and its presentation
through beautiful art pieces such as this.
