sustainable living find of the day: magno radio

the magno radio by singgih susilo kartono

was recently awarded a 2009 design award

from the london design museum

the radio was designed to launch a community-based

eco regeneration project in kartono's village of central java.

each radio takes 16 hours to handcarve of locally-sourced wood

and for every tree used in production, one is replanted.
