unbelievable abstract folding and kiri-e origami from self-taught venezuelan artist, yoshi. he is inspired by the geometrical patterns used for sacred decoration in india and the islamic world and he applies his talent to the fields of art, industrial design and fashion. i am particularly taken by the abstracts, which are just breathtaking. go here to see more images of his beautiful work.

palo samko.

this is going to be a huge post, but i can't help but post a gazillion pics of what i find to be some of the most amazing handcrafted furniture i've ever seen. palo samko is based in brooklyn, and that's about all i know, except to say that he has phenomenal woodworking skills! the designs and the attention to detail are just so, so beautiful ~ my jaw quite literally dropped with every click through the slideshow! enjoy! {via roadside scholar }
