mills bomb paper wars is an exhibition of the death machines series of paper reproductions of classic weapons systems at notting hill's craze gallery . organized by postlerferguson , the exhibition features a series of one-off pieces by an international selection of artists and designers. the exhibition was scheduled to run through may 21, but has extended to june 1, should you be in the area. ak-47 uzi anti-aircraft parts (thanks, jackie !)

like a dark obsession with arachnids, japanese-born artist chiharu shiota wraps objects from floor to ceiling in miles of black wool. her work, ambiguous and stunning, leaves you curious about the strangled objects seemingly suspended in time and space. love this design by mixed media textile designer catherine hammerton . each piece of leather and suede is hand cut and embroidered and here is applied to upholstery. she also creates beautiful wall embellishments, like this ginko "wallpaper." to see more of her designs, visit her website here .
