50 ceiling suspended mechanical devices each incorporating a custom cut swarovski crystal optical lens, a computer programmed motor and a white LED...experiencing small drops of light falling from the ceiling onto the gallery floor, the visitor is immersed in a shower of light, each droplet encircled by a vibrant halo of rainbow colours. in chorus, the humming sound of the mechanism is audible – light and sound meld into a single immersive and multi sensory experience...

this is going to be a huge post, but i can't help but post a gazillion pics of what i find to be some of the most amazing handcrafted furniture i've ever seen. palo samko is based in brooklyn, and that's about all i know, except to say that he has phenomenal woodworking skills! the designs and the attention to detail are just so, so beautiful ~ my jaw quite literally dropped with every click through the slideshow! enjoy! {via roadside scholar }
