a darkroom is a model of a mind -- an open space for inventions and recordings to and from the world. these pictures are documents of a kind of feedback loop...a fragment of one picture is the starting point for another. though this process takes place in the form of photography, it involves a conflation of the actions of drawing, printing, painting, and photographing. the invisible dream-space of the darkroom is redrawn and echoed in the visible space of pictures.
