of paper and things

while researching for a paper artist this week, i discovered this amazing installation by architect junya ishigami . paper chair was shown at canon's "neoreal" exhibition at salon del mobile in milan last year. the chairs, which are actually constructed of metal, are designed to resemble a piece of paper, with delicate sketches of dandelions (printed by canon) which serve as a canvas, obscuring the boundaries between the chairs and surrounding space . so beautiful! {via japan design + designboom }
