giant cylinders of cardboard and paper enclose meeting rooms inside the headquarters for financial services advisor rabobank. the multi-ply cardboard is layered to create textured patterns on the surface of one cylinder. translucent japanese paper covers a second cylinder, as well as the springy lanterns that surround circular skylights.

this is going to be a huge post, but i can't help but post a gazillion pics of what i find to be some of the most amazing handcrafted furniture i've ever seen. palo samko is based in brooklyn, and that's about all i know, except to say that he has phenomenal woodworking skills! the designs and the attention to detail are just so, so beautiful ~ my jaw quite literally dropped with every click through the slideshow! enjoy! {via roadside scholar }
