paper artist of the week: kaori miyayama



i am so smitten with the work of kaori miyayama.
her most recent series, soda, is comprised of delicate and beautiful collage works of layered paper, thread, and acrylic on canvas. do have a look at her portfolio ~ amazing works in other media (love, love the traces of rain installation).

palo samko.

this is going to be a huge post, but i can't help but post a gazillion pics of what i find to be some of the most amazing handcrafted furniture i've ever seen. palo samko is based in brooklyn, and that's about all i know, except to say that he has phenomenal woodworking skills! the designs and the attention to detail are just so, so beautiful ~ my jaw quite literally dropped with every click through the slideshow! enjoy! {via roadside scholar }
